Federal and State Programs
For more information: Viki Sparks, (903) 988-6840- Submission to TEA via the Audit application in TEAL due July 12th. Districts and charters receiving more than $750,000 in State Compensatory Education must submit two CIPs and an SCE program evaluation (if applicable) for the 2022-2023 school year. Reference FASRG, Module 6 for specifics
- Review/update/train district policies and procedures per EDGAR as applicable
- Ensure the Administrative Procedures Manual (APM) is up-to-date with current regulations and district practices
- If the district intends to self-certify an increased (>$10,000) micro-purchase threshold (up to $49,999), the following steps must be completed on an annual basis
- Step 1: Determine eligibility to self-certify an increased micro threshold
- Step 2: Determine which threshold amount fits the goals and objectives of the organization
- Step 3: Create written self-certification with justification that includes how the organization benefits by self-certifying an increased micro-purchase threshold (not just that it is allowable!)
- Step 4: Present to board for approval
- Step 5: Update policies and procedures (including APM)
- Step 6: Notify TEA through the EDGAR Connect application in SmartSheet
- ARP, ESSER III Final Amendment due date July 2nd. Ensure application aligns with program description and expenditures
