Region 7 ESC Employee Spotlight

At Region 7 ESC, we're proud to shine a light on the incredible individuals who dedicate their lives to making a difference in education. Our biweekly Employee Spotlight highlights team members whose passion and commitment help shape the future of our students. Through their hard work and expertise, they support both teachers and students across the region. This week, we're excited to introduce three standout employees who exemplify what it means to lead with heart.

Brooke Kinsman name

R7 Employee Spotlight Brooke Kinsman

Brooke is a Coordinator in the Curriculum Services Department and has been in education for 16 years.

"I truly believe I was created to be a teacher. From my first day of kindergarten in Ms. Brown’s room, to 3rd grade with Miss Massey, and later with my amazing college professor, Ms. Ashlock—along with countless other incredible educators I’ve been blessed to learn from—I’ve had teachers who poured into me and shaped who I am today. Their influence inspired me to not only teach but also build up those around me. I’m passionate about pouring into others—whether it’s students or fellow educators—helping them grow and succeed. Being at Region 7 allows me to do that while also being a lifelong learner myself, constantly evolving to better serve others. I love that in this work, we get to shape the future, making a lasting impact on generations to come."

Stacy Gwartney name

R7 Employee Spotlight Stacy Gwartney

Stacy is the Secondary Science Specialist in the Curriculum Services Department and has been in education for 35 years.

"I believe we all have special gifts, and mine are teaching and creativity. As a teacher, I loved challenging my students because many didn’t realize how far they could go or what they could achieve if not pushed beyond their comfort zones. Watching them recognize their success—realizing they could think critically and work through problems independently—was incredibly rewarding. Throughout my career, I’ve been blessed to work with many talented educators in the region and even see some of my former students take on leadership roles in their district. As for myself, I’m passionate about learning new things and sharing that knowledge with others.   At Region 7, I feel fortunate every day to have the opportunity to do all the things I love: helping others grow, develop, and thrive through science education."

Hunter Arnold name

R7 Employee Spotlight Hunter Arnold

Hunter is an Administrative Assistant in the Head Start Department and has been in education for 3 years.

"I came to Region 7 with limited knowledge of education, aside from the experiences I had growing up with teachers in my family. My background is in the customer service industry, where I developed a passion for helping people and problem-solving. When I learned that there was an opportunity to provide a similar level of service to children, families, teachers, and school districts, I knew this was the perfect fit for me. The ability to support and serve staff, customers, and families is what drives me every day and is at the heart of why I do what I do."
