Funding & Accountability Coop

Region 7's Funding & Accountability Cooperative was created in 2012-13 and continues to grow and provide expertise and guidance to districts and charters across Region 7.

Cooperative Advantages

1. Unlimited personnel from your LEA may attend PEIMS Workshops at no additional cost. Below is a list of all workshops for 2023-2024.
2. Each F & A LEA will receive a detailed 5-year data analysis report. This report assists with analysis and trend identification, including potential problems, that have financial and accountability implications for the LEA.

3. Workshops specifically for Coop Members only are offered to create a school-wide team for data accuracy. These workshops will offer unlimited participation at no additional cost and will be targeted toward Principals, Assistant Principals, Business Managers, PEIMS Coordinators, and other PEIMS related personnel. Coop exclusive workshops are listed in green at PEIMS Training Sessions.

How to Join

  1. Look in the Region 7 Superintendent's eAgreement notebook.
  2. Go to "Contracted Services Agreements."
  3. Choose F & A and OnDataSuite
  4. The prices for your district will be listed there along with instructions on how to join.

PEIMS Academy

PEIMS Academy is an optional add-on service that can be purchased with Funding & Accountability.  The targeted audience is new (or slightly new) District PEIMS Coordinators.  It extends the trainings provided by F & A by digging deeper into the topics and providing additional support.

Training, webinars, and supports for the PEIMS Academy member-only include:
  • PEIMS Academy Boot Camp (24-25) - Basic overview with checklists of PEIMS processes and resources
  • Attendance to the exclusive Funding & Accountability workshops
  • Four (4) additional workshops per year just for PEIMS Academy members
  • Support for District PEIMS Coordinator by phone, email, and remote access
  • Support for District PEIMS Coordinator in learning how to successfully manage time, priorities, and resources in their new role
  • Create and provide appropriate checklist(s) and resources via an exclusive webpage
  • Zoom Hot Topics.

Districts that Choose NOT to Join the Funding & Accountability Coop:

  • Will continue to receive phone support on attendance accounting/PEIMS-related questions.
  • Districts may attend non-Coop workshops via In-Person/Virtual/On-Demand at a cost of $100 per person. Only Coop Members will be permitted to attend the exclusive F&A workshops listed in green and receive the 5 years of analyzed data.
  • Districts may attend non-Coop Member Virtual Only Sessions at a cost of $35 per person.

Region 7 strives to provide training that will target areas concerning funding issues, accountability concerns, and compliance with TEA rules and regulations. The accuracy of the district's PEIMS submission is critical and has a dramatic effect on ratings and funding. The lack of training leads to incorrect coding of PEIMS data resulting in the loss of eligible funding or a time-consuming TEA audit review. The Funding & Accountability Cooperative provides guidance and valuable information to train district personnel so that your data is recorded and reported as accurately as possible to maximize funding.
