Helen Crissey has had the pleasure of serving students receiving special education services for thirty-nine years. She began her career as a teacher of the visually impaired and has taught in resource and self-contained settings. She spent fifteen years as an educational diagnostician and three years as a Special Programs Coordinator before joining Region 7 ESC seven years ago as an evaluation specialist. Helen is currently serving local education agencies as a special education liaison assisting with TEA’s Differentiated and Monitoring Support activities, including Results Driven Accountability, Self-Assessment, and Cyclical and Targeted Monitoring.
