Kimberly Harris
CTE is ALL DAY, EVERYDAY!
In her fourth year at Region 7, Kimberly Harris is pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Holding a Master’s degree from The University of Texas at Tyler, Kimberly is also a certified principal and counselor. She serves as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Specialist II in State and Federal Programs at Region 7 ESC and is a statewide trainer for prominent conferences, including CTAT, TASA, and TASSP. Kimberly is dedicated to advancing CTE and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) initiatives. She collaborates with school districts in Region 7 and across the state, fostering partnerships to support staff and ensure student success.

Facilitating the CLNA process to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in CTE programs. - Career Software Integration
Assisting districts in implementing and utilizing career-focused software to support student career planning and success. - Program Management
Providing expertise in organizing, administering, and enhancing CTE programs to meet district and workforce goals. - Methods of Administration (MOA)
Supporting compliance with federal civil rights requirements for equitable access and participation in CTE programs. - Regional Programs of Study
Assisting in the application, alignment, and implementation of regional programs of study tailored to meet workforce demands. - NCCER Certifications
Supporting the preparation and implementation of programs that enable instructors to earn National Center for Construction Education and Research certifications. - AWS Welding Certifications
Guiding districts in preparing instructors to become certified for implementing American Welding Society certifications. - Career Prep and Practicums
Assisting districts in creating, improving, and maintaining career preparation and practicum opportunities for students. - CTE Program Evaluations
Conducting thorough evaluations of career and technical education programs to assess performance and recommend actionable improvements. - Advisory Committees
Support the development and engagement of advisory committees to enhance collaboration and ensure alignment with industry standards. - Effective Advising Grant
Providing support for the planning and implementation of the Effective Advising Grant to improve student advising practices.
